Eric Quah
My art reflects aspects of life, a passage through my affinity to the world around me and often looking through windows. Windows are entry points, from one side to another and another...
I do not choose an easy path - instead making art through a selective process; exploring scale; abstraction and the psychology of colour; utilization of recognizable objects from the past and present...
More importantly, my free brush stokes must link the intellectual and emotional positions, by disregarding the boundaries that separate my eastern inheritance and my western training.
I like to explode the logical order of issues, happenings, memories, allow them to blur, one into another through conceptual collapse. - Eric Quah
